Exhaust manifold bolt -special tool/socket?
Is there a special tool for installation and removal of the driver's side center rear exhaust manifold bolt on a stock 74 350? So far as I can tell, there is not enough clearance between the manifold and the bolt head to get a socket on it or even an open end wrench. GM must have had a way to get something on there to tighten it and torque it to spec. (I ended up cutting the head off the old bolt with a dremel tool to get the manifold off.)

While really not familiar with your particular application, I've installed my share of long tube headers in tight areas. Places like Summit Racing carry stainless shouldered 7/16" drive header bolts, for this. While maybe not helping in your removal, maybe easier to bolt back on.

when you put it back in you can either use a stud and then a nut or another bolt, but install a thicker washer. it will space the nut or bolt head far enough out to make future removal easier.. hope this helps
