Default 1979 350 th transmission

What holds the driven gear in place for the speedometer inside the trans my gear keeps sliding foward thanks

If your asking about the gear inside of the transmission, on the output shaft, its held by a metal clip that goes between the gear & shaft.

They are working with a 700R4, but the gear retention is the same.
If you want to skip some of the beginning, go to about 3:30 in the video.
