Bench Bleeding Master Cylinder
I'm in the process of putting new calipers, rubber lines, a master cylinder, KYB shocks and a front suspension kit on my '76. My question is: when bleeding the master cylinder, how long should it take before you stop seeing air bubbles and the cylinder gets impossible to depress more then an 1/8 inch? The front has no bubbles. The rear has one small bubble everytime I push in the cylinder. I would like to finish this up tomorrow and Muskegon Brake is closed today and tomorrow, so no questions can be answered by them. Any help or comments would be greatly appreciated.

I'd say about 10 minutes. Actually, I install mine on the car first, leaving the brake lines loose. Then, connect the plastic bleeders as you normally would. That way, someone can get inside, pump the brake pedal, and you can tap the master cylinder lightly with a small metal hammer to loosen trapped air bubbles. It is much easier to me this way!
