I bought a 80 as a donor for the frame and engine for my 73 Coupe. I dont use AC and plan to do a complete AC Delete when I assemble my 73. I wanted to see what
the design was inside the suitcase so I could plan my AC delete. I need heat in the early spring and fall, other than that my roofs are off.
When I opened the suit case, look at all the leafs, pine needles and junk that was packed inside. Without question the AC was not cooling the cabin well, if at all.
The plastic mesh screens dont fit tightly and have to large openings. I will fab a well fitting screen frame and use fiberglass screen material so it dont not rust on my 73.
So if your AC passes all tests that its working, but still does not cool the cabin well..............Whats in your Suitcase.
I am building a 77 big block and want all the room I can spare under the hood. The non working heavy AC components were the first in line to go. I glassed the opening to the correct size and put in a small heater box from a non ac car, which works out just fine for me.
