Yes. If it were a nail, the pointy bit would be aimed at you.

If you bought yours out of a kit, it will be way too long. I can't remember the exact length, but it's somewhere around half the size of what you get in the kit.

Put the spring in the hole, put the shim on the rod, put the rod in the hole and compress the spring until you can swing the shim around to lock inside the hub.

Thanks a lot, I dont know what I would do without this forum and all of your help, I plan to do this job as soon as the new rivets( that I broke) come in the mail. THanks alot, will keep upated.
