1978 Rear Blind - fixes please

Hi,

have a 1978 Pace car with a rear roller blind that doesn't "roll" anymore.

By that i mean it pulls out and will not wind back in.

I'm assuming there's some kind of spring mechanism inside, but could someone give me a brief explanation on how it's supposed to work and what the possible problem could be and how to fix?

I never seen one break before??? Are you sure it's not jammed or rolled up crooked? I don't even think they reproduce those blinds either....

Very sure - it's fully extended and wont roll back in.
I can do it by hand, but there's nothing holding it there.

Anyone shed any light?
