Default Hard Start and Mis After driving for a while

Ok.. The car ran perfect until a few months ago

I have a Gen6 454 roller.. approximately 2000 miles..When I start it up to drive it fires and runs fine..

when Its shut it off.. If I try to restart it starts and runs fine..

If it sits for a few minutes maybe 10 or so.. it spits through the carb.. hard to turn over.. eventually if I continually try to crank it it will fire but runs like crap..

after it cools down generally 4 plus hours it runs fine again.. last night it sat for 1.5 hours and ran terrible

It has a MSD 6al, MSD coil, and MSD distributor

I originally thought it was vapor lock but after getting it started I thought driving it for 5 minutes would clear it up but it still misses... the next day.. starts right up

I have not changed the plugs in the 10 months or so I have owned it...

It does have spark during the hard start.. takes a lot of cranking .. spitting through the carb.. even back fires through the pipes when it finally starts and I am driving...

any help is appreciated..

Heat soak comes to mind, maybe the gas in the carb boiling and flooding after shut down. But I would think that would clear up and run ok shortly after it starts.

vacume issues do it to my 80 hard starting the more you drive it the worse it gets idiling and eventually driving. look for a vacume leak or a loose plug wire
