Big Block Water Pump rebuilding
Any one know who could supply a rebuild kit or rebuild service for a short, aluminum GM water pump for a 427?
Casting number 3975928.
Don't want to replace the pump with an aftermarket unit, just re-bearing and re-seal this one.

Your into a by gone era of rebuilding a water pump. But its not a lot of Rocket Sience once You get it apart just look at the Bearing and Seal Numbers and go to Your Local Bearing House. Shouldn't be a problem. I have a simaler Pump and plan on doing the same thing.

I figured that I could go the bearing/seal house route but thought that perhaps some of the kits that are out there for the iron pumps would work on this original GM unit.
Being a GM unit, that is the reason I want to rebuild as I want to keep it on my engine.
