Went to fire up the wipers in the light rain this morning, nothing. I have had the car for 3 years with no wiper problems. I opened to the hood and turned the switch on, to observe possible binding in the wiper arms. None was apparent, not movement at all, in fact. I did hear the click at the motor, as I turned the switch on to intermittent then low. I put my hand on the motor and felt the click at the connector, but observed no movement at the motor. The only thing I have yet to do is check for ground, which I will do when I get home. Ground has not been a problem to me in this car, and I've done a lot of electrical on it.
Odds on bad motor? And, having said that, the newer motors I've seen appear to have different wiring. Anyone with any experience?
I got a rebuilt motor for my 81 from Summit, and they gave me 7 bucks trade in on my old one. Only 35.00 or so if memory serves me right. Give them a call.
