Just got my very hard to find wiper switch and replaced it with less trouble than I anticipated (Thanks to Jim Shea). Only thing is now I have to reinstall the upper shaft and the part that looks like a semi-circle key way came out of the slot. I don't know which direction to put it back.
Help Please!
The woodruff key(semi circle piece) gets inserted in the upper shaft then goes in with that end first. There should be a long 1/4" rod that goes in the center of the upper shaft.
I knew that end went in first. The key is has a notch or flat spot on it and I not sure if it faces the top or bottom of the column. I'll post a pic if needed.
Thanks '75
That is exactly what I needed. Before know this I had a 45% of getting right but I really don't want to experiment and the take it back apart if I was wrong. I say 45% cause Murphy hangs out with me when I'm guessing.
