I have a 1977 Drag car, in the last year I have broke 3 rear end yokes . I am looking to change the rear end to a Ford 9" or a 12 bolt. My question is does anybody no of a company the makes a kit for the corvette. People tell me to back half the car but that will be big bucks.

Before you make such a big change, what particular yokes are you breaking? Maybe you just need to step up to some serious HD flanged yokes. And, you are aware that a properly built 12-bolt IRS conversion can handle 1000+ HP, no? If you feel you simply must change to a live axle, Autofab has a 4-link kit for Corvettes...
thanks, I have put the HD at $385 Per. AndI have gone through a 3 sets. I have a 383 stroker in this car,it weights 2800 with me in it. I run the 1/4 in 10.50. My 60 ft are 1.4-.
Ths Capt. I have Looked at that kit and it looks good.Only problem is I would need someome to put it in. PS not that good of a welder for that type of job.
Not all HD yokes are the same. Try contacting Mike Dyer (tracdogg2) forum member or call him 214-717-8379 He builds the super 12 bolt diffs and knows which HD yokes hold up better as they are not all the same.
Out of curiousity are you running a Drag Vette kit also?
What kind of HD half shafts and u-joints are you running? Surprised one of those have not broke first. I have seen here on the forum a guy actually twist a half shaft at the drag strip.
