I'm brand new to the forum, and I have an 82CE that has become my newest hobby. I wanted to pass along a great product recommendation for those that like to keep their Vettes shiny....
Has anyone tried Dry Wash? If you haven't, Holy Cow!
Someone from the Corvette Club recommended this stuff to prep my car with for a show on Saturday. I got it yesterday and slapped a coat of this stuff on. It has to be by far, the best glaze and car cleaner I've ever used.
I did my car in about 45 minutes (including the windows) and what's really nice about it is it has a teflon like effect, and dust does not cling to your car. You don't have the thick wax dust left on your car like regular car wax leaves and requires 1/2 the elbow grease with 2x the shine.
It has a really nice soft smell to it too! It smells kinda like Bounce...
Really, if you have not tried Dri Wash on your car you are missing out on a truly great product. (no I'm not a spokesperson for Dri-Wash) I'm going to be putting 3 more coats on by Saturday, and I will use it to prep once I get to the show.
Yeah, we've used the stuff for years. It's great for getting off the dust and polishing the car up quickly. I think there's a couple other similar products out there, but we've stuck by Dri-Wash.
I used to get a similar product from my local Honda motorcycle dealer. I have been using Wizards lately, and am still waiting for my shipment of Zaino.
I've used this stuff for several years, very little effort with BIG results. All the bug goo and road gunk come off real easy once you have this on your car.
I hope you are not trying to drum up some buisness for them :nono: If so then you need to know that vendor selling on the forum is frowned upon...
Anway's, there is a section for you to talk about car care products... http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zeroforum?id=10
Just be sure to wear your flame suit....they are a bunch of zaino zealots...
Calm down...no, I don't sell Dri Wash...and I had no idea (being that this is my FIRST friggin post) that we don't advertise on the board. I wasn't advertising, I was describing my results using "said" unknown product at this time that's all and wanted to pass along said unknown product's results so that other may benefit. Wow, what a friendly concept.
As for "borrowing" user names....no, I don't borrow user names. As I said this is my first post and I had no idea whatsoever that you used luvmy92. I'll change it to LOVmy82 so it won't feel so intrusive.
Luvmy82, dont get offended ... the forum is full of funny guys,,, always follin around >>>NOT the stuff for dishwasers I hope  what cooler is your Vette ? MY 66 is BLACK & a bast##terd to keep shinny :seeya
Luvmy82,
Your choice to stay or leave BUT I wouldn't leave cause a couple guys questioned your intent. There are a lot of us out here that like hearing about these products. I'm always looking for easier ways to keep my car shineing. You'll find, if you choose to stay, that some replys you'll like and some you won't. Thanks for the product info..
You certainly shouldn't bail on the forum just because of this. There is no better place on the internet to get help & info about your vette. I've looked.
You just had the really bad luck to step on a landmine your first time out. There are a few "hot buttons" on any forum, and virtually EVERY forum I've ever visited tends to be real touchy about people getting on and selling stuff, because so many forums have been swamped with commercials and ruined. Not that I'm saying I think you're shilling tthe dri-wash. But if you were, it worked. I just ordered a bottle! :D
Come on guys, go easy on him (or her). We all make comments when we find a product we try and really like. He was simply stating that he dried Dri Wash and was really impressed with the results. I think that if it gets to be a constant topic of "try dri wash" it would go to the point of advertising. I think we sometimes tend to be a little tough on the new recruits. :chevy
Luvmy82, stick around. We need new guys. Where would we get new and different opinions if we run off all the new guys? ;) Don't let the comments above bother you. The guys weren't trying to run you out, just prodding you a little. :yesnod:
