Default Delete the ac

hi
I have delete the AC stuff, cut the plastic box in two and inside I find a Resistor.
I dont realy know what its the purpose of this piece, can I delete it too

need help from you with electrical skills

it controls the speed of the blower motor for the passenger compartment

you could have disassembled the unit and sold it. there's a difference between destruction and disassembly.

I removed my ac from my 77 and remounted that resistor in another non ac heater box from a 69 . Works fine, dont really care about heat, but ya may need defrosters if you get caught in the rain.

If you want any type of fresh air in the cabin, you're going to need some type of fan.

Tanks for the help
I cut the plastic box in two due to reduce it and reuse without the ac stuff I still dont understand th resistor purpose technical, I can understand from the switch change voltage so the speed get diffenent butif you look at this piece withsprings etc inside the heter channel must have something to do with air temp?

The "springs" are resisters, the switch guides power through different ones to reduce the current to the blower motor. It is cooled by the air flow.
