Default 82 ignition switch help

my fuel pump would keep running as long as the battery was hooked up. i replaced the ECM, fuelrelay switch, tried another fuel pump then took it to the shop. They checked out all he wiring for shorts or faults and found nothing. They said the oil sending unit stayed hot as well. Could this be the ignition switch, or should i look else where?

trying to find an answer for you in the 82 Shop Manual, but could not locate a solution. but came across some info, which you may already be aware of:
"When the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position, the fuel pump relay activates the electric fuel pump for 1.5 to 2.0 seconds to prime the injector."
I could not find any text, with the fuel pump constantly running. Just using logic here, if the fuel pump relay activates the fuel pump for the time stated, could it be possible that even though you changed out the fuel pump relay, that the replacement relay may be defective, and that the relay you replaced was also defective???

OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
"The oil pressure switch is part of the fuel injection electrical system. When engine oil pressure is above 4 psi, the switch will close and complete circuit from the battery to the fuel pump. If the fuel pump relay is malfunctioning, the engine could still be started after it has build-up 4 psi oil pressure"

The above text was taken from the 1982 Corvette Shop Manual

I don't know if the ignition switch would have anything to do with the fuel pump to keep running (assuming that you mean you always hear the activation whine all of the time). Repeating myself, it seems that the fuel pump relay may be defective as it seems that this part controls the amount of time you hear the pump activation.
Just taking another guess, unless there is a short or loose wire coming out of the relay harness.
Anxious to hear when you get the problem solved................Tom

Thank you, I'm positive. You can put your hand on top of the fuel pump and feel the vibrations on the fuel cap. Also, the power antenna is not operational.
