starter problems
I am having trouble with the starter ripping the teeth off my flex plate. When I bought the car the flex plate was bad so I replaced it with a new one and it's ripping the teeth off it also. I put a new bendix in the starter but no help, have tried shimming the starter but no help. The guy at the auto parts store says there is 2 different flex plates listed, one is a standard 350 engine and the other is for a hi performance 350. What would my 75 Vette engine be considered? Could I have the wrong starter on this thing ? Did Chevy use different starters? Any suggestions ?
