Default ?? about valvesprings

I bought a set of complete Edelbrock Performer RPM heads for my mostly stock LS-5. The cam is the stock .461-.480 lift cam. Somewhere in my motors life it ended up with peanut port 236 heads, so there is a port mismatch between them and my Torker II. My question is, should I swap valve springs from the Edelbrock supplied ones to the ones I've been running with this cam on the 236's? Will the Edelbrock springs wipe out my stock cam? I will eventually pull this motor and rebuild, but don't have the dough right now, and I keep staring at these aluminum heads on the shelf. Thanks guys!

If the edl springs are made for a h-flat cam you would be fine because the cam and lifters are already broke in.

The Torquer manifold is garbage and should have been recycled as scrap aluminum 30 years ago

I'll contact Edelbrock to make sure. As far as the Toker II, I agree it's not the best manifold to ever sit on top of a big block, but it is the best manifold that fits under my hood. If there was a better one I would have it on there. I lost zero drive-ability and shaved 50 lbs. off of my engine over the stock Q-jet manifold.

I will agree that the weight loss and hood clearance are a good thing. I just believe that the edl older intakes are just not performance gains. Well maybe because of more direct ports. But they are not a tuned ram port
