Default exhaust manifold question

Will exhaust manifolds from an 85-91 vette hook up to the exhaust on my 81? thanks

they were designed for a C4, so they may bolt to the heads but connecting them to the rest of the exhaust may prove to be an issue. First of all though, why would you want to do that?

I figured it would be no problem bolting to the heads. I am planning on removing the smog tubes from my manifolds and welding the holes up. I came across a set of manifolds already plugged up, but they are off an early c4. Another reason I am looking at them is that they look better than the stock 81's and will give better plug/plug wire access. It looks like they will bolt up to the exhaust, but not sure, so thought I would see if anyone on here had any thoughts/info on the subject. thanks

Why not buy another set for the '81 and do the work on them? They are plentiful and inexpensive. I just sold a set for $25. They are in the parts section here all the time.

All the ones I find are $150+....I came across the post were you were selling yours yesterday, but they were already gone lol. I will more than likely just pull mine off and rework them. Just thought if the manifolds I was looking at would work, I'd grab them, for the price.

thought about it, but not sure if they are the heavy cast iron or like whats on my car now. I am wanting to stick with the "header" looking manifolds, so will probably just do some cutting, welding, grinding and painting on mine.
