Default High Pitched Squeal

Need Help! I have an 81 Auto. When it is completely warmed up there is a high pitched squealing comming from around the front of the tranny or rear engine...can't tell exactly where. It does not squeal in neutral. It does squeal when in ANY gear and if you touch up the throttle just a few RPM's the squeal goes away. I just had the transmission filter changed and it didn't fix the problem. The fluid looked normal. Was some silver metal flakes in the pan but not too bad. Wondering if there are any vacume lines in that area. The sound is hard to hear from under the hood but fairly loud from underneath. All suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A vacuum loss should roughen up the idle as well as cause the exhaust to show a different color. That'd be the first thing I'd look for. Then I'd put the car in gear with the parking brake on and see if there's any change. I don't wanna go in the direction of a seal or bearing going out, but a seal would likely show a discharge.
