Water pump bolt question

Water pump bolt question

I just put in electric fans (Dual Spals) I need the bolt size for the pulley that mounts to the water pump. I tried a M8 X 100 but it stops after 5 turns.

By any chance is the water pump hub like a pipe thread?

Any help appreciated.

Is this the size that bolts to the fan or the size that goes into the water pump. The studs have two different size threads on them.

That's a metric bolt. Won't fit.

The thread for the water pump hub is 5/15-24, fine thread. The studs are usually fine thread going into the hub and then take coarse thread nuts to hold the clutch to the water pump, at least that's how it is on the ones I've seen.
