Default Introducing....A new guy that needs some guidance

Hello, My name is marc and I am new to this forum. I was referred here by the zr-1 net. I have started browsing through this forum and really think I am going to like it here.

I have gutted the interior of my 76 and am in the process of a complete redesign of the interior....As if the original never existed. I am about 70% complete. About the only thing that is staying are the interior door panels. I have already had them covered in orange and black leather, however the shop that did it covered up the mounting holds and Now I don't remember how to mount them. Can anyone here email me pictures of their interior door panel mounts. Like where the screws go, where the brackets go, etc. The car did not have the a/c compressor mounted when I bought it and I would like to remount that as well. However I need pictures of the a/c brackets properly installed. I see some really nice pictures of c-3s here and can't wait to add MEGAVET

Welcome to the forum, Can't help you about the door panel. Are you remounting the original type compressor?

thats the best I can do for you now, it's from Zips catalog and any parts you happen to be missing are still available.
Good Luck
Scott

If you are going to be doing a lot of restoration work on your vette, suggest you purchase an assembly manual (AIM) for your '76. Year specific AIMs can be purchased pretty cheaply, and are very useful, almost a must for performing lots of restoration work.

I strongly second John's suggestion--imagine that pic from Zips of the compressor for virtually every non-driveline part of your car--that's the AIM. Best single resource you can get.

If you need any of the mounting brackets, Call Contemporary Corvette at 215-788-8693 ask for Rocky. It's a Corvette Wrecking yard and they have a lot of 76 Corvettes. I'm not sure of the particular brackets, but they'll have them if you tell them what year you have. They ship UPS daily.
