I'm going to change the transmission mount in my 69 427 4 speed, and all the local auto parts stores show an ANCHOR P/N 2295 as the correct one. However, all the Corvette specialty houses show THIS ONE, which is completely different looking than the Anchor, but looks exactly like the one in the AIM.
If I go to the O'Reilly, NAPA, etc... web sites and enter the original part number (3913498), they all point to the Anchor 2295, so I'm a bit confused. Anyone ever use one of those Anchor 2295 mounts? If so, what's so special about it and does it actually fit??
Well, here's something interesting. If you go to any of the auto parts stores and put in the 427 engine and manual transmission, you get the Anchor 2295 part. If you put in the 350 engine and manual transmission, you get the one that looks like the one the Corvette vendors sell (which by the way, is the NAPA BK 6201024 part)!!
