Clutch chirping ?

with the engine off, how much play do you have in the clutch pedal measured by pressing down on it with your hand till you feel the throwout bearing touching the clutch cover fingers? Typcially you should have about 1 1/2"

I had the same issue. It sounded like the throw bearing riding on the pressure plate. I backed off on the adjustment, allowed more free play so the bearing wouldn't be in constant contact with the pressure plate. Haven't heard it since..
