I WON!
Second place in my class at a vette show in Oklahoma.
I cant believe I took 2nd to this car.
:jester
Its a replica ZL1 right down to the aluminum heads and block.
It was a hot humid day and I have a nice sunburn to show for it. :D
DaBo's wife, dagnabit! I wish I could remember her name also took 2nd in her class with her red 62 vert.and all four members me included form the vette club I belong to won a door prize and another lady member from our group of four won a neon Corvette wall clock from the drawing!
Today was a very good day even though my tranmission line started leaking badly on the way to the show. :mad

Re: I WON! (Wightnite)
I wouldn't mind coming in second place to that car. Congrats on your second place showing!! IN MY OPINION, the stripe on the yellow car could have been done just a weeee little bit better, I like em the width of the L88 part and to stop there instead of coming over and down. Maybe I just haven't seen enough of them this way to fully appreciate the way it is done. Regardless, don't let me take anything away from it, looks great.

It's hard to fight cubic $$. You sure don't need to make any apoligies for 2nd! That clone is a beautiful car but I suspect it's owner is cheating himself out of the pleasure of driving it much. He got the bigger trophy but, in our book, you're the winner!! Congrats!!

Her name is Aleta. It took me a while to get her involved with Corvettes, then she had to have her own   Maybe some day she will get on the forum if we can come up with a good name for her.
Congrats on the plaque!!!!!!

I know the gentleman that owns that Bad A** ride. I use to live in OKC, OK. He made a ZL1 replica (in convert form). Under the hood it has the all alum. block and everything. Very  car.
NO SHAME IN FINISHING Second to that car....it was even displayed at the NCM for a while. I know him through a family friend.....although I've just met him and chatted at a couple of shows. A few years ago, his "beater" was a 70 with a ZZ4.
