Default carb floods while cornering

Help me, lads.
Had this Qjet apart many times. Can do it in my sleep.
I have an air/fuel ratio gauge installed, and I have the carb running perfect, except that you can watch the mix get very rich (goes down to maybe 9 or 10 to 1), and the engine begins to run like #$%&, when I corner left or right. The stock (7044207) float setting is 1/4". I have pushed it to 3/8" in an attempt to minimize the sloshing that I seem to be getting. I've changed the float 3 times in the past year, switching from plastic to brass and back to plastic. I have also changed the needle valve and seat twice.
Now what?

How much fuel pressure is it running at? If pressure too high fuel can be forced past needle resulting in a higher bowl fuel level.

Do you have the plastic spacer over the float arm and power piston?

Fuel pump is a current AC mechanical, installed about 5000 miles ago. I never put a gauge on it.
Float bowl filler is installed.

Float bowl filler is installed.
I think shark racer is talking about the large squarish plastic-like spacer that sits over the float pivot point and takes up some space in the bowl. That's a good thought. If that is missing lots of sloshing would be going on.

I'd definitely send Lars an email over this one. I'm pretty sure we're talking about the same thing (plastic thing, float bowl filler).

The spacer that goes where the aneroid booster would otherwise go is optional, I believe, the float bowl filler is not. (not sure if the pre-75 carbs even have that aneroid booster area)
