I ran over a lump of concrete and damaged the headers, crushed pipes and bent head flange.
Street 1970 with 533 BBC 3" system. I had a set of Dougs headers but I see they dont make BBC vette headers any more. So I have a choice of Hedman and Hooker.
I have raised port heads, does anyone have the Headman headers with raised port heads. Im happy to do the odd dent to fit. Does the finish last?
My brother is a motorcycle mechanic, and he sometimes repairs dirt-bike pipes by sealing off both ends, pumping it up with compressed air, and heating the dents with a torch. The heat temporarily softens up the metal, and increases the internal pressure, popping the dent out. It requires some specialized equipment to do safely, but it's possible. I don't know if this would be practical in your situation, but it might be worth checking into.

Im driving a left hand drive car on the left side in Australia so there are blind spots. I ran over a 4" barrier at the petrol station that separates the station from the footpath. If I was in a right hand drive car I would have seen the barrier. If I had a wimpy motor it would have stopped when it hit it. Most damage was done reversing car back, pulling on pipe 8, crushed and kinked at the collector and bent the head flange at 8.
