my interior was pretty bad, all i did was replace carpet. all of it with black, this allowed me to replace the carpet on doors with black carpet from home depot($4). i removed and painted the center console pieces satin black with spray paint from walmart. the seats were already pretty decent so i didn't mess with them, if money is tight, go with generic kinda seat covers. i have a few small cracks in dash which they make kits for that can be purchased at auto parts, not sure how well they work. but anyway, between replacing all the carpet and painting the 2 pieces in center console, it transformed the interior. not a show car, but nothing to be embarrased by either.
Pull the seats, carpet, door panels and other large panels first...
then take a day or so to think about it...(LOL !)
you may or may not need to pull the dash....passenger side is EASY.....driver side - not so easy...do you NEED to pull it ? I did....but I'll manage to get it back together!
Just my two cents.
R & R the heater core while everything is all apart, open and (relatively) easy to get to.
