Problem is, they have a convex shape and are not just flat shields. The shape allows the lights to move up and down without binding. They are readily available at the Corvette parts houses.
Womb nailed it.. and if they are straight they will hit the headlamp housing and prevent it from opening. They were made from ABS plastic and had a radius and a flipped up end on them. The forward side also had a scored line in them so that they would flex.... If you are able to do the radius, and put the flip end on them then post again, I'll scan one possibly. I know you are down under so the shipping is probably too high for just that item... (sounds like a reason to buy something to me)
Thanks Guys for your help, but I managed to locate a pair to measure up here in Brisbane.
Willcox thanks for the offer of scanning, mine's an early '69 btw.
