Heater Core installation

How hard is the installation of a heater core in a 73 L48? Is this something an amateur could do or do you recommend taking it to a shop.

I have always heard that the factory set the heater core on the assembly line first and then built the car around it. :D

Ya I have A/C and the way it looks I think he may be right about building the car around the heater core.

OK. Go here and under "Misc" you will find a pic story about installation of a heater core in a 1970 with A/C. Juliet is the author.

Heater cores aren't to hard to chage, it just takes a lot of time. On my 81 with A/C it took me about 9 hours.
