Threads on AC compressor clutch
Ok, I like chrome in the engine bay. I bought the Mr. Gasket Alum AC clutch cover. It has an adaptor that screws into the clutch. The threads are just slightly different. Are there different inner threads on the AC clutches?

6556923 was the part number for the nut.. you might google it and see if you can find the thread size. It wasn't listed in the parts book and I don't have a standard parts book here to look at.

I saw some older compressors yesterday at a car show. They have the threads that match the adaptor. My friend works at a machine shop says he can make me a replacement. I found a gauge in my tap and die set. it shows the clutch to be 1.5 and the adaptor is 1.75.
