1st, is it connected properly at the distributor?
2nd, is the connection good between the distributor and the filter?
3rd, are all the connections good to the tach behind the dash?
Check all of that. If there are no problems there then you may have to rebuild the tach.

Its estimated 90% of the time its the tach board but as the previous poster indicated, check all the easy stuff first. In your case, if its the tach board, you're looking at tearing the dash out. A couple of forum vendor supporters post information to assist owners...check out Willcox and Zip
