Hi
im from italy, i have the 1982 corvette crossfire, when the engine is a lot of warm the engine not starting, this happens especially in the summer.
I change the ignition switch(ecklers 33958) and the starter solenoid, but after some mounth return the problem.
I try to put the direct button to engine starter... The engine starting......some saint can help me?
Thanks
This is a common problem with Chevrolet vehicles. If you can jump the current across the starter solenoid (battery cable to S terminal - purple wire) and it always starts, then the battery, ground, and starter are good. It could be the solenoid, or the wiring and switches that send current to the solenoid have bad connection or resistance that does not give enough current to engage the solenoid. Here are a couple of threads for this problem. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...sometimes.html http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...k-starter.html
