For months on end I have been chasing setting the TPS voltage on my 82. It is to be at .525v. I could not get it to be at this setting. Voltmeter would vary all over the place. I just decided it was a faulty tps sensor or maybe a bac ecm. Finally bought a the voltmeter. Old one was defective and a gave off bad signals. Bought new one and was finally able to read real voltage. Set it appropriately and check enging light went off right away. So, it was the test equipment, not the TPS! Glad all is set now.
