Default Remove & Replace, Front Member Assembly, is nose support needed?

Hello,
I removed the radiator support because of rust. Car is apart for a variety of reasons so I am attending to some rusty areas while I'm at it. The metal cross piece under the radiator, in the assembly manual its called a Member Assembly, also has significant rust. I am thinking this needs to be replaced versus blasted and painted.

My question. Is it safe to take this piece out safely especially with the radiator support out. I'm concerned about unsupported nose weight. Is there anything I need to be concerned with to remove and replace this?

Hood is still on, Braces from frame to front bumper are still in place. All the headlight components are still in.

there's an edge of the inner fender that rests on (or very close to) the frame extensions. you can remove the front crossmember and the radiator and it's support safely, as long as you don't place any addition pressure on the nose. you can also fabricate a temporary support by bolting 1x6 wooden boards to the three holes in the inner fender where the radiator is fastened, and then attaching those to a board sideways that sits on the frame.
