Default 1970 coup rebuild

Well I am just over a year on my complete body off resteration and all was going well til yesterday. Went to install engine and trans and transmission mount did not line up. Front mounts went well and are bolted solid. Seen others with same thing and they said to loosen front mounts from block and pry over. I have the poly energy suspenion mounts on front and are plenty stiff. My plan is install rubber mounts and leave loose pry over. Need to move inch 1/4. Does this sound workable. Here is a picture.

I have had the frame in a frame shop at the start of this project and it checked out O.K. Hope this will work. anybody have any thought if I am on the right track.

i had a similar problem, but it was only off by 1/4". if you try to force that to one side that far, you're putting a tremendous amount of torque on the motor-trans and the engine mounts. something is bent. pull the engine and check the frame again.
