Default Tilt Column For My 70

Another one of those projects I would like to do to my 70 is add a tilt steering column to it. I don't want to add a truck column or something like that. I would like for it to be another vette column. If I remember correctly some columns are more of a direct fit for some reason for earlier cars versus later C3. If anyone knows what years would fit mine easiest please feel free to chime in.

I installed an Ididit tilt column that I bought from Jegs in my 1968. Bolted right up not problems at all.

69-75 are there direct bolt in.

76's will work to, but you need the hub adapter kit, that eliminates the infamous "Vega" steering wheel.

78-82's can be used, with a little work. They're a little different length, and have the high beam control on the column, instead of the floor. They're also a lot cheaper than the early columns.

Forget the 77 column. It's a one year only column, with both the wiper and high beam control, on the column.

What hub adapter are you referring to use the 76 column? Is this a part that can be removed from my stock 70 column? Is this 76 column a bolt in as far as electrical connections?
