Obviously the guy had no clue how much those pipes cost or he wouldn't have cut them. that rust hole is a bad sign.... they have probably rusted from the inside out.

Totally agree. They rust where the primary tubes meet the collectors. Allthough it might not show you'll still be able to push your finger through in certain area's. I lost interest when he said they were cut. Sounds as if the car they came from was hacked apart real quick because it certainly won't take hours and hours to unbolt the headers properly.
Also, they appear to be for a small block as the two center primaries are beside each other.
