My 78 has a cruise button but doesn't work also the PO told me it doesn't have cruise. Did they all have a button and wire going into the steering column or dose this have CC just not working and how do I tell?
See that black and silver thing with the yellow clamp just above the brake booster in the pic?
There's also a component on the driver side inner fender with speedo cables attached.
That's cruise.
If you have a manual trans, then NO cruise available.
I believe that one of the turn signal arms is hard to find, maybe the non cruise. So someone could have used the cruise arm.
Or....it's 34 years old and like so many other things just doesn't work
Go here http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/...x.php?cmd=area and see if you can obtain a copy of the original dealer invoice for your 78. The invoice will list all the options installed on your car, including factory cruise control.
That is guys! No I do not have what the picture shows. I will have to check out the invoice deal and see. My car was originally a Candian Export car. Not sure if I can find much info on it. If it did have cruise, would it be difficult to find parts and reinstall?
