I have what I call a "rumbling" noise which sounds like it is coming from the drive train. Everything is new or rebuilt from the tranny back-all u-joints,rear end. complete trailing arm assemblies. None of this changed the sound I hear which seems to be in time with a revolution of the tires, not fast enough for drive shaft turning. In fact there are different tires, also. Originally it sounded like it was coming from the right rear, but you know how sound travels. Since it is still there, what's next?
On the old vegas the rear ends were so bad with noise the only fix was to turn up the radio.Have you looked at the brakes .Could one be dragging ?Could the sound be from the exhaust?Have you insulated the back end yet?I have road noise in my 82 but i think its from the firestones.i want the lizard skin.

I thought the tailing arms took care of the problem until this fall when I rolled up the windows and had the radio turned down, then I started noticing again. It's at a slow speed when I hear it, coming down the street to home after having it out for a drive.
Got to get with you some time and check out your car!
