Yes Sir; It does come out from the bottom. You just twist it the right way & low & behold it comes right on down. Remember how you twist it, so you can twist it right back into place. You have to be a sport, to own a sports car. Have a great one. Gene

if it's the same as my 79, and I think it is, there's a little filler panel btwn the wheel well and firewall that you remove. I'd take the washer bottle out myself, so I could see up close what I'm doing. To do that, you just unbolt it and drop it down. The filler neck is a separate piece, and can be separated from the washer bottle from above.

By what he asked, he seems to have the bottle out of the car (I hope, I can't imagine trying to get to it while in the car), he is asking about getting the motor off the bottom of the bottle. Remember fellas, the nut is inside the bottle, though a small hole where the filler neck goes.

My 81 doesn't twist out.
There is a nut inside the bottle, and over the screen. It is not easy to get to in or out of the car.

Thanks or the feed back the solution would be to use the long socket extension going into the inside the bottle. My problem was there is a protruding flange which is apart of the bottle and its right in the way you cant turn the washer moter its in the way.

I assume you have the bottle, with attached motor, out of the car. The nut to unscrew is inside the bottle. This is the part where the beer drinking and tool throwing comes in handy. You need a deep socket, an extension and a universal socket joint as I recall, to make this work. I am not sure of the protruding flange you speak of, Got pics?
