Best Alternator for....?
Which is the best alternator to put in my 68 to run my Mark VIII fan? CS 130? Single wire? Or 2 wire? Looking for easiest install and wire hook up. The fan is the only reason I'm looking to install a larger amp alternator. I've done a search but many threads are fairly old and I'm sure some opinions have changed. Thanks

I beleive it is the CS 140 or who cares as long as it has the mounting tabs and runs 120A plus. The MKVIII is a huge draw in the ranges of 50-60amps, now add in all the normal stuff and the new stereo + amp and you are over a 100 easily. Powermaster has a 10si clone, one wire and all the amps you need. Ck Summit or go to Powermaster site. Lots of people swear by the CS 130/40 line and the adaptor connector from NAPA. Either one will do the job.
