Default Power steering pump removal

I am trying to remove the power steer pump on my ’82 with a ZZ4 engine without much success. I have lines loose, the one bolt and two nuts from the studs out. Problem is it will not come out of the bracket. I have tried double nuting (is that a word?) the studs to remove them with no success. The pulling is hitting the cross member not allowing it to come out. Do I have to remove the pulley before it will come out or perhaps try and remove the bracket?

Any help will be very much appreciated.

Andy

Andy, if I remember correctly, there are 3 attachments to the pump, I had to loosen all 3 to change the PS belt on my 82. I would assume you have to do the same to remove the pump, look for the 3rd nut and or bolt..... unless w/ the ZZ4 it is attached differently........Tom

Thank you Tom, yes I have the one bolt and two nuts removed. I can move it around in the bracket, just not enough to get the pump out.

Remove the 2 bolts holding the bottom "cradle" bracket and remove as an assembly.

That worked KapsSA, I was not sure if I need to get the pully off or the bracket.

Thanks much, back on the road again
