Ignition Lock Cylinder Removal
Was searching posts and really did not see any really good explinations on how to remove the lock cylinder from and tilt tel column. Anyone done this before?
The issue is this... Bought a reconditioned column, and came with a new lock cylinder. I intalled the new lock cylinder in the column. It will turn to acc and run, but if I try to turn the key back to lock it will not go back that far, so I cant remove the key. I am doing a full restro on a 69. So, unsure as to the function. OR, and I missing something stupid like a the trans has to be in gear or it locks itself? Or it could just be I messed up installing the cylinder...
HELP!
As mentioned above, there should be a cable coming from the transmission that connects to that lever. The cable should push the lever to full UP when the automatic transmission is in PARK or when the manual transmission is in REVERSE.
