Do you know the number for the dynomax headers that you have on your car? What is the distance from the header flange to the transmission crossover? How do you rate your headers? Thanks for any info you can give me, I am leaning towards the Dynomax headers. Did you have much trouble hooking the collector up to the rest of your exhaust system? Thanks
I think the number is 86008. The header are great. I have found them hard to keep clean due to engine problems. Mine got sprayed really bad with oil. The collectors are about two feet from the crossmember on my 4 speed car. I am really pleased with them especially for the price.
I just ordered mine due to the overwelming response of how good they are, but unfortunatly they are on back order from dynomax. If you are looking to get them soon you are outta luck. The wait for me could be anywhere from 1 month to 6 months. who knows!!!! If your ready to wait it out, go for it, i did :yesnod:
WHOOOOO, hold on. I have some on order from Jegs, they gave me an expected arrival of the first week of June. I guessed a week after that might be more like it. Do you know for sure that they will be as long as you say??? That would suck!
I ordered a set a few years aga but wasn't ready to commit to headers plus in a few spots the coating rubbed off during shipping. I was thinking of ordering a set at a local hi-po store so if the coating rubs off I can just take em right back there and not have to deal with shipping. Also thought of ordering a non-coated set and then have them coated localy so I don;t have to deal with rub off at all. Just a few things to consider for you.
BTW Other then the few rub off spots they looked great.
I just got back from Super Summit, they had the dynomax headers in stock. I got them with the 10% discount, they are waiting for me to finish my engine , I am looking forward to get the new engine going with them on. Thanks for your information. Tom :)
I like mine, tho they have become a little dull over the years. Normal with the ceramic coating. As far as cleaning, the polish soaked cotton wads work well. It is advertised as a metal polish. Eagle One sells it as do others I am sure. Comes in a short round can and you tear off pieces of material as needed. I also use it on my billet rims and other polished pieces. Anyway, it will clean off oil and other stains from the headers.

I checked jegs too but i think it was expected to ship no arrive in june or was it july? And i also live in canada so everything is even harder to get  hope the wait isn't to long i wanna take it to the track
I installed mine a week ago, and can't say enough about the ease of installment. Perverbial piece of cake. No clearance problems what-so-ever, and I have pwr brakes, auto, and air. I haven't started my motor yet, but they sure are pretty. Oh... I bought Percy's soft aluminum header gaskets, and mounted them with stainless bolts with lock washers. Hope they stay put and don't leak!!!!
