I've decided to rebuild my suspension with polyurethane bushings.
(I know there is always a debate between rubber and poly and some people will disagree with my choice, but that's not the point of this thread.)
My question is: Is there a particular manufacturer who is considered to be better than others when it comes to poly bushings? How do I avoid the junk out there?
Go with Energy Suspension. I know from personal experience that they do actually tune the durometer (hardness) rating of their bushings to the specific application. Their T-arm bushings for example are noticeable softer than their A-arm bushings.
It's the guys that go with the mystery off-brands that always tell you that polys are all hard as rocks and crack apart etc. etc. etc.
No, ecklers is not a bad source. But you will pay. I got the full Energy Suspension set from Summit for $175 IIRC. All the front bushings, T/A bushings, all the sway bars (f&r), differential front cushion and a trans mount.
I am working on my 89 installing new fuel lines. While having it all torn apart, I decided to replace all the bushing and went with superpro. They all installed easily except for the batwing bushings which were a little more work, but I did not remove it completely from the car. It would probably be much easier if removed and done with a shop press. I do not have mine back on the road yet, so I cannot comment on handling
I bought mine from https://www.corvettepartscenter.com/. They are the individuals who worked with superpro to get the bushings designed and made for the C4. There is a You Tube video from these guys. Just search superpro and you should find it.

I hope you didn't go poly for the rear strut rods as they need some give since they twist when the suspension is going up and down.
