'78 carb preheater hose
The carb preheater "hose" on my '78 (L82) was in two pieces when I got the car a month ago so I bought a replacement. It is a "Mighty Flow" flexible aluminum "hose" and looks like the original on the car. Problem is it is 1 1/2" in diameter. It fits onto the outlet on the exhaust manifold shroud OK but the diameter is too small to fit around the inlet on the bottom of the air cleaner snorkel. There is a clamp that secures it to the inlet. Has anyone had this problem besides me! Perhaps a 1 3/4" diameter hose if there is such a thing. As usual, I would appreciate any help the membership can give. Thanks!! BobC
