rear main cap bolt toque
what is the torque on the rear main cap bolts. The other main caps are 4 bolts but the rear main cap is 2 bolts. anyone know what to torque the 2 rear main cap bolts to? I believe its 60ftlbs but i might be wrong. 1980 corvette

ok so what is the torque for the rear main bolts on the rear main cap? the rear main cap only has 2 bolts not 4 like the other caps.

The long bolts on either the 2 or 4 bolt caps are 70ft/lbs. The rear cap, with 2 bolts is still 70ft/lbs. Short bolts on the 4 bolt caps, IIRC, is 65ft/lbs.
