Default Advice on Center Caps

I noticed that the center caps on my 82 seem to "pop" off fairly easy. I would think that makes these easily lost (????). Was wondering if anyone applied anything to the caps to provide more security yet allow them to be easily removed when tires are rotated etc?

I just picked up a set of 82's and restored them. My caps were tight but I did this anyway. Just go on the backside and use a couple of dabs of clear silicone caul on the tabs. It will hold them on when it dries, and it can be easily cut out when you need to change tires.

If the silicone suggestion doesn't light your fire, wrap duct tape around the tabs. I found it to work pretty well, and it seems to stand up to a lot of heat (e.g., from spirited and frequent braking).

82Dukman, you need a new photo with those new caps in place! :)

This is what I did, and found out this was the best for me.

I took the cap off. I found three prongs in the shape of a triangle. I then took a lighter, and heated up each of the three prongs and bent it slightly outward. It does not take much heat or bending of the prong for this to work. But when you snap the cap back in place, it is very tight. Then you won't have to worry about taking the wheel off to put any type of glue behind it.
