Default 700r4 tv cable length

Hi, I am gathering up parts for a th350 to 700r4 swap in my '80 'vette, and I would like to know if anybody could tell me the best length of TV cable to purchase. I have been seeing them as short as 24" (I have no idea what you would do with a 2 foot long tv cable!) and as long as 60". Small block, Performer 2101 intake, 1" carb spacer, Holley 1850 carb, planning on using Holley 20-121 and 20-95 for carb linkage. Just looking for the right length cable to fit my setup correctly. Not too long, like Papa Bear would have, not too short, like Mama Bear would have, but juuuuust right, like Baby Bear would have!

Thanks for the effort, OAM, but I am kind of a cheapskate, and I think I can duplicate the TV made easy for about half the price. For now, I've decided to use this piece:

And this piece:

As far as I can tell, all I'll need is a TV cable. The 700r4 transmission I am rebuilding is out of a '88 IROC, and the existing TV cable is trashed.

I gave some thought to ordering a cable for an '82 'vette, but I am not at all familiar with the Cross Fire set-up. I have no idea where the linkage is in relation to the engine, and am not sure if the cable might be too long or short. Do you know if the TV cable is mounted in roughly the same place as it would be for a carbureted engine? I suppose I could search for some pics. Oh, wait! I'll bet a cable for a mid '80s truck that came with a 700r4 and a Q-jet would be the perfect length! Any thoughts on that?

Useless info because of your cheapskate comment , you could consider a Lokar cable? I had no luck finding a standard solution for my 74. (combination tv and throttle cable).
Papa bear can cut it to length then

Sorry, I had a brain f@$t, and didnt think about it , but the OE cable for an 87 Monte Carlo fit mine perfectly using those same brackets only from jegs and another member used the same setup with success. it was for a 2004R but I think the TV cables for the 700R4 and 2004R are the same. just did a search, they're the same.

I used the cable and manifold bracket from a 85 elcamino (2004r). Installed on 81 Vette. The only issue is the connection to carb linkage. The cable from the stock th350c trans in the Vette was almost the same as the one from the elcamino.

Buy the universal cable , it adjusts for length AND it connects to your existing kick down bracket and it hooks to carb with a kick down end ,, One cable dos it all I have it on my 1980 700R4 conversion.. Makes the job 1 2 3 ......................
