Who has the red l-82 valve covers on their engine? I saw a pic of it a few days ago on here and can't remember where i saw it. Can someone post it please ? thanks
I made the suggestion to razz1980 a while back, it might be him. I didn't see the pics but I bet it looked  So whoever you are lets see them again, please :D
i still have mine all silver polished but plan to do a little red on the fins like sharktank suggsted, another of those things to do added to the list.. :yesnod:
Sweeeeeet  - I love that cross ram - although it looks like you dont have any bolts holding the top plate on. How does it run? what carbs/cams/heads are you running - I've wanted to set one of those up for my 78 for a long time.

Re: Red L-82 valve covers (Justin79-L-82)
The screws are countersunk in the top plate carbs are 650s , The cam is eirson grind unknown but very lopy ,does well on the street.I need an overdrive to take atvantage of my engine setup.I was told the cross cam is good for 7000rpm too bad the rest of the engine isnt. It is a close nock-off of the intake availabe form GM for 69 Z-28.The original top plat is missing it would'nt have fit under the hood as it is the filter screen on the far side scuffs the hood and restricts airflow.I need an L-88 hood then I would make a single oblong or large round filter case to take car of both carbs.
Im taking the intake off this winter to pollish it and maybe have the top plate engraved and cromed.

I didnt paint the covers but its bear aluminum under what I think is just high temp spray paint than they sanded the fins to show metal, but they also painted over the flags on the right cover.
Im getting some crome plated ZL1 covers to replace them. :D
