Default Alternator Bracket

In the process of changing to a serpentine setup, I came to realize my pulleys didn't line up with the power steering. The PS was a .50 inch further that the rest, which caused the problem. I have safely and effectively fixed the fan and crank pulley issue with legitimate spacers.

My alternator has always been offset (behind) about .50 inch.
Now, with the new additions, I need to extend the alt a whole 1.00 inch.

Does anyone know of an alternative to using bushings, spacers, shims, or whatever you wanna call em. I prefer a bracket.

My alt is on the drivers side, and of course it is not high sitting. The bottom sits about 2.00 inches above the PS Cap.

Thanks

Do you have headers? If you use a right hand header bracket on the left side, it will push the alternator 0.9" further forward

Yes I have headers. I never heard of a tight hand, so I will take it as right hand.

Toddalin, and everyone else. I did the measurements.
From the block to the nose of the alt pulley the distanct is 4.00 inches. To the nose of the PS pulley is 5.00. (These measurements are not to the actual nose but the furthest edge of the belt)
The bracket is 3.00. So I need a bracket that is 4.00 inches to compenate for the extra inch I need to accomplish proper pulley functionality.

This is a left side bracket. Because these are "flat plates" and finished on all sides, they can actually be used on either side of the engine.

Because the right hand cylinder bank sits 0.9" further back than the left side, a right side bracket must also be 0.9 inch longer. If you use this bracket on the left side, it will push the alternator 0.9 inch further forward.

If you don't want to deal with the tricky #2 header bolt, these are also offered to use the #1/#3 bolts, and again, you could ue a right side bracket on the left side to gain 0.9 inch.
